The hydrostatic worm gear and rack mechanism involves injecting pressurized oil into the meshing tooth surfaces of the worm gear and rack to form a highly rigid oil film of a certain thickness, separating the two tooth surfaces and transforming the mechanical friction between the meshing surfaces into pure fluid friction. This achieves high-efficiency, high-precision, high-load, highly stable, and long-life long-distance movement of moving parts. Due to its characteristics of both pure fluid friction and the mechanical structure of the worm gear and rack, the hydrostatic worm gear and rack transmission is particularly suitable for heavy-duty machine tool feed drive systems, mainly used in the linear motion mechanisms of heavy and large machine tool worktables, gantry frames, columns, slides, and rams. Its main features include: Low friction resistance. The starting friction coefficient can be as low as 0.0005, resulting in low power consumption and high transmission efficiency, reaching 94% to 98%, and maintaining stability even at low speeds. Excellent accuracy retention.
